(81) Enter the FMTx value calculated in step (75) above and press ENT. Turn TI off
and back on.
(82) Rotate TI FUNCTION switch to 225-400 position. Using keyboard set TI to
300 MHz.
(83) Toggle MOD LEVEL HI/LO down until TI displays 8 KHz FM.
(84) Measure the actual deviation and calculate the correction coefficient as follows:
FMTx = 8 kHz / Actual Reading in kHz
(85) Turn TI off and set TI FUNCTION switch to MB.
(86) Press and hold down the MB NAV ID switch while turning the TI on.
(87) When Enter Cal Code appears on TI screen, enter 953 on TI keypad.
(88) Press 4 (FMTx) on TI keypad.

(90) Enter the FMTx value calculated in step (84) above and press ENT. Turn TI off
and back on.
a. Performance Check
(1) Set TI switches as outlined in 7 a above.
(2) Set TI FUNCTION switch to MB and manually enter 75 MHz.
(3) Connect TI ANTENNA connector directly to measuring receiver (no sensor).
(4) Configure AMR software for Input to RF, Meas to Marker, DUT Power to 13
dBm, Ext. Loss to 1.00, RF Tuning to 75.000, PSA to Connect, Control to Continuous then
Start.
(5) Set TI TONES switch to 400 OM.
(6) If AMR Freq 400 Hz Modulation box does not indicate between 90 and 100%,
perform b below.
(7) Set TI TONES switch to 1300 OM.
(8) If AMR Freq 1300 Hz Modulation box does not indicate between 90 and 100%,
perform b below.
(9) Set TI TONES switch to 3000 OM.
(10) If AMR Freq 3000 Hz Modulation box does not indicate between 90 and 100%,
perform b below.
(11) Disconnect equipment setup.
b. Adjustments
(1) Adjust R125 (fig. 2) for an AMR modulation box indication of 95% for tone being
checked.
(2) Repeat (1) above for best intolerance condition for each TONES switch setting.
