(5) Adjust calibrator 2 output until multimeter indicates 100 mV dc 20 V. Allow
the circuit to stabilize for 2 minutes.
(6) Select and activate OK on the UxValidator. The TI will measure the voltage
difference. When the measurement is completed, a second on-screen instruction is
displayed. As instructed in steps (7) and (8) below, create a voltage difference of 0.00000 V
dc on pin Y as referenced to pin C.
Place calibrator 2 to standby and remove leads from pin C (+) and pin R (-).
(7)
Place a jumper between TI ETTS Pod pin C and pin Y.
(8)
(9) Select and activate OK on the UxValidator. The TI will measure the voltage
difference. The alignment progress bar will show 100% and the TI will calculate the
alignment constants. The TI will then enter a live-reading performance check mode.
(10) Press the TI ETTS BrainPak left Encoder knob to save the alignment
constants.

Performance Check
(1) Select and activate Vo1 from the Circuit menu on the UxValidator. Vo1 will
appear in the Circuit field.
(2)
Connect calibrator to TI ETTS Pod as shown in figure 22.
(3)
Select and activate Test from the POD Alignment screen on the UxValidator.
(4) Set the calibrator to output 5.000 V dc. If TI reading on the UxValidator does
not indicate between 4.994 and 5.006 V dc, perform b below.
(5) Set the calibrator to output 3.000 V dc. If TI reading does not indicate between
2.996 and 3.004 V dc, perform b below.
