(5) Verify that the voltage across pin p (+) and pin W () matches the voltage
reported in the Output field on the UxValidator 0.008 V dc and record this value. If the
value does not match, perform b below.
(6) Press the TI ETTS BrainPak left Encoder button to return to the main POD
Alignment screen.
(7) Select and activate Vc_10 from the Circuit menu on the UxValidator. Vc_10 will
appear in the Circuit field.
(8)
Select and activate Test from the POD Alignment screen on the UxValidator.
(9) Verify that the voltage across pin p (+) and pin W () matches the voltage
reported in the Output field 0.0005 V dc. If the value does not match, perform b below.
(10) Subtract the value recorded in step (9) above from the value in step (5) above
and verify it is 0.400V 0.0005 V dc. If the value does not match, perform b below.
b.
Adjustments
(1) Select and activate Vc_DC from the Circuit menu on the UxValidator. Vc_DC
will appear in the Circuit field.
(2)
Select and activate Align on the UxValidator.
(3)
Allow the circuit to stabilize for 5 minutes.
(4) The preferred voltage output of 0.444 V dc for Vc_DC is shown in the Output
field on the UxValidator. Using the + and buttons on the screen, adjust the TI's output so
that the voltage displayed on the multimeter matches the on-screen voltage. The resolution
of the adjustment can be changed by selecting Fine, Medium, or Coarse.
(5) When the voltage displayed on the multimeter matches the voltage displayed in
the output field on the UxValidator, Vc_DC is properly adjusted.
(6)
Select and activate Done on the UxValidator (in the upper right corner of the
screen).
(7) Select and activate Vc_10 from the Circuit menu on the UxValidator. Vc_10 will
appear in the Circuit field.
(8)
Select and activate Align on the UxValidator.
(9) The preferred voltage output of -0.044Vdc for Vc_10 is shown in the Output field
on the UxValidator. Using the + and - buttons on the screen, adjust the TI's output so that
the voltage displayed on the multimeter matches the on-screen voltage. The resolution of
the adjustment can be changed by selecting the Fine, Medium, or Course.
(10) When the voltage displayed on the DMM matches the voltage displayed in the
output field on the UxValidator, Vc_10 is properly adjusted.
(11) Select and activate Done on the UxValidator (in the upper right corner of the
screen).
