Remove TI connection from frequency counter and connect to
1
the measuring receiver using the sensor module 504. Set
measuring receiver to frequency measurement mode.
Time/frequency workstation 10 MHz output must also be
moved from frequency counter to measuring receiver and
measuring receiver configured for an external time base
reference.
(11) Disconnect the time/frequency workstation 10 MHz output from the measuring
receiver EXT REF IN (rear panel).
(12) Set TI output to STBY.
b. Adjustments
NOTE
Warm up the TI (continuous operation) for 24 hours, minimum
before adjusting.
(1) Connect the time/frequency workstation 10 MHz output to the frequency counter
REFERENCE IN (rear panel).
(2) Connect TI REF FREQUENCY OUTPUT (on rear) to the frequency counter
INPUT A.
(3) Set the frequency counter as listed in (a) through (e) below:
(a) FUNCTION frequency measurement.
(b) INPUT A.
(c) Coupling to 50 Ω.
(d) EXT REF to EXT.
(e) Gate time to 1S.
(4) Enable the REF FREQUENCY OUTPUT by setting the TI controls as listed in
(a) through (d) below.
(a) SETUP.
(b) Softkey GLOBAL PREF.
(c) Softkey REF FRQ OUPUT.
(d) Softkey 10 MHZ.
