NOTE
The accuracy of the 50 ohm termination is extremely critical for
the following voltage measurements.
Measure the DC
resistance of the termination prior to use and select a
termination as close to nominal 50.00 Ω as possible.
Termination must not exceed 0.2% (49.90 Ω - 50.10 Ω). TI
Leveling head should be supported as poor alignment with the
termination may degrade the measurement.
(4) Remove the Leveling Head from the TI base unit. Connect the TI output to the
INPUT 1 of the AC measurement standard using a precision 50 ohm termination.
(5) Set the TI to OPER.
(6) Using the blue arrow keys and the rotary knob, edit the TI Actual output until
the AC measurement standard indicates the target value stated. Press Accept Target.
(7) Press Next Target.
NOTE
To measure directly on the AC measurement standard, use the
TI UNITS key to select Vrms.
(8) Repeat (6) and (7) above for all points requiring the use of the AC measurement
standard. Upon completion, set the TI to STBY.
(9) Zero and Calibrate power meter and power sensor.
(10) Disconnect the AC measurement standard and the 50 ohm precision
termination from the TI base unit. Connect the TI SMA output directly to the input of the
power sensor. Do not use a cable between the TI output and the power sensor input.
(11) Set the TI to OPER.
(12) Using the blue arrow keys and the rotary knob, edit the TI Actual output until
the power meter indicates the Target value stated. Press Accept Target.
(13) Press Next Target.
(14) Repeat (11) through (13) above for all points requiring the use of the power
meter and power sensor. Set the TI to STBY.
(15) Remove power meter and power sensor and replace with measuring receiver
using sensor module (opt 504).
(16) Set the TI to OPER.
NOTE
The measuring receiver will be used in the Tuned RF Level
mode. Calibration of the measuring receiver at the frequencies
and levels used must be accomplished before the measurement
can made taken.
(17) Set the measuring receiver for a tuned level measurement at each applied
