(3) Connect TI 10 MHz REF OUT to EXT REF IN of the measuring receiver. Set
measuring receiver for EXT 10 MHz Reference.
(4) Set measuring receiver to spectrum analysis mode and connect RF INPUT to TI
RF Output. (Do not use sensor module).
(5) The $ prompt will appear when calibration is complete. Type: calterm 148
<ENTER>.
(6) Set function generator to 1 V dc as indicated on the multimeter, press any key
on the instrument controller to continue.
(7) The $ prompt will appear when calibration is complete.
(8) Type: calterm 125 <ENTER>.
(9) Set function generator to 99.8 kHz at 0.707 V rms as indicated on the
multimeter, then press any key on the instrument controller to continue.
(10) Adjust the measuring receiver center frequency controls to align TI carrier on
center graticule (approximately 5 GHz) while reducing span /div to 50 kHz.
(11) On the instrument controller use 1, 2, or 3 to increment and 8, 9, and 0 to
decrement the value of the DAC's setting while observing the first Bessel null, and adjust
the value of the DAC setting to reduce the carrier level as low possible (>-40 dBc null).
(12) On the instrument controller press "q" to quit.
(13) Repeat technique of (10) through (12) above following instructions on the
instrument controller screen.
(14) The $ prompt will appear when calibration is complete.
(15) Type: calterm 124 <ENTER>.
(16) Set function generator for a 0.1 Hz square wave at 2 Vp-p. To measure function
LoLevel to indicate + 1.000 V dc, -1.000 V dc on the multimeter as square wave transitions
between +/- cycles. Turn off the function generator output.
(17) Adjust the measuring receiver center frequency controls to align TI carrier on
center graticule (approximately 5 GHz) while reducing span per/div to 10 MHz.
(18) Turn on the function generator output; TI signal will move off screen.
(19) Set measuring receiver span to approximately 300 MHz. The measuring
receiver will indicate one signal alternating left/right of center approximately 200 MHz
apart.
(20) On measuring receiver, select Marker, Delta Pair. Toggle between Ref and '
while adjusting rotary knob to align markers on peak of both signals.
(21) On the instrument controller use 1, 2, or 3 to increment and 8, 9, and 0 to
decrement the value of the DAC's setting as close to 200 MHz as possible. ' Marker must
indicate 200 MHz 8 MHz when adjustment is complete.
(22) On the instrument controller press "q" to quit.
(23) Repeat technique of (17) through (22) above following instructions on the
instrument controller screen.
(24) The $ prompt will appear when calibration is complete.
(25) Type: calterm 149<ENTER>.
