personnel fail to observe safety precautions.
REDUCE
OUPUT(S) to minimum after each step within the performance
check where applicable.
a. Remove TI protective cover only when necessary to perform adjustments.
b. Position controls as listed in (1) through (8) below:
(1) VERTICAL controls as listed in (a) through (f) below:
(a) Vertical mode switch to CH1.
(b) Both VOLTS/DIV switches to 1 mV and VARIABLE controls to CAL.
(c) Both Input Coupling to DC.
(d) Both vertical POSITION controls to mid-range.
(e) CH2 INVERT switch out.
(f) LEVEL to midrange.
(2) HORIZONTAL controls as listed in (a) through (d) below:
(a) TIME/DIV switch to 1 mSEC and VARIABLE control to CAL.
(b) X10 MAG button out.
(c) SWP. UNCAL button out.
(d) Horizontal POSITION controls to mid-range.
(3) TRIGGERING controls as listed in (a) through (e) below:
(a) NORM/AUTO button in AUTO.
(b) SOURCE switch to CH1.
(c) COUPLING switch to DC.
(d) SLOPE button to up position +.
(e) HOLDOFF to MIN.
c. Connect TI to appropriate power source.
d. Pull POWER switch to ON and allow at least 30 minutes for warm-up.
