and COM terminals.
(1) Connect calibrator the TI
(2) Set TI rotary switch to Ω and the 200 Ω range. Set calibrator output for 190
Ω output. Set the calibrator OPR/STBY switch to OPR.
(3) Press the calibrator 2-wire Comp soft key to on and EX SNS off. Above 19 k, set
2-wire Comp soft key to off.
(4) Using the output adjustment controls, edit the calibrator until the reading on
the control display equals the reading on the TI.
(5) The Error indication on the calibrator display must be within the corresponding
values listed in table 7 for the 200 Ω range.
(6) Repeat steps (3) through (5) above for the remaining ranges and applied
resistance settings in table 7. The Error indication on the calibrator display must be within

b. Adjustments. No adjustments can be made.
a. Performance Check
(1) Connect TI BATT 1.5V mA uA and COM connections to DC power supply and 3458
(2) Set the TI rotary switch to the 1.5V BATT position.
(3) Adjust dc power supply for a 1.5 V indication on the 3458 voltmeter. TI will indicate
within 1.445 V and 1.555 V.
(4) Set power supply output to minimum and rotate the rotary switch on the TI to the
9V BATT position.
(5) Remove the power supply connection and multimeter connection from the TI
connector.
