(87) Remove signal generator connection from PLA (fig. 6) and reconnect lead from
TI A3/1 board.
(88) Press TI [HELP SETUP], [Calibrate], [NB pwr Mtr] keys.
(89) Use TI [ ] key to highlight 25 MHz on display.
(90) Connect signal generator output to TI N-type input and set signal generator
output to 25 MHz at 0 dBm.
(91) Adjust R4 (fig. 6) for a TI indication of -1.5 dBm. (Level is set low to ensure the
absolute levels can be set correctly under the narrowband software data correction menu as
software can only be made in one direction).
(92) Set signal generator output to 10 MHz at 0 dBm.
(93) Use TI [ ], [ ] keys to highlight 10 MHz calibration point on displayed table.
(94) Use TI front panel rotary knob to change TI indication displayed on bottom of TI
screen to match applied amplitude.
(95) Use TI [ ], [ ] keys to highlight next calibration point on displayed table.
(97) Use TI front panel rotary knob to change TI indication displayed on bottom of TI
screen to match applied amplitude.
(98) Repeat technique of (95) through (97) for all remaining calibration points in TI
displayed table.
(99) When all calibration points have been set up, press TI [Return] then [Store
Cal key] keys.
(100) Disconnect equipment setup.
NOTE
Perform (101) through (115) below only if TI has Single
Sideband option installed. If TI has no SSB option, perform
(101) Connect TI BNC RF output to TI ANTENNA input.
(102) Press TI [RX TEST], and press [SELECT] key to select BNC output and
(103) Press TI [RF GEN], [FREQ], 580 MHz, [LEVEL] and -90 dBm keys.
(104) Press TI [MOD GEN] key and set both modulation generators to OFF.
(105) Press TI [TX TEST], [TX FREQ], 580 MHz and [Return] keys.
(106) Press TI [TxPower], then select narrowband power (indicated by NB on
display) by pressing [Broad/In Pwr].
