Insert a 20 dB attenuator between the TI and the storage oscilloscope input.
1
Press TI Softkey, FAST and Softkey, 150.
2
3 Remove the 20 dB attenuator from between the TI and storage oscilloscope input.
(10) Set TI output to OFF and disconnect storage oscilloscope.
b. Adjustments
NOTE
Ensure the 9500B rear-panel CAL ENABLE/DISABLE switch
is in the ENABLE position and return to original position
when complete.
(1) Connect TI output to storage oscilloscope using a 20 dB attenuator between the
TI and the storage oscilloscope input.
(2) Connect TI CH5 output to storage oscilloscope trigger input
(3) Set storage oscilloscope to measure edge and amplitude V p-p with full
(4) Set TI as listed in (a) through (i) below:
(a)
MODE.
(b)
Softkey, CALIB.
Enter Password (exp. 2→3→5→7 ).
(c)
(d)
Softkey, HEAD CAL.
(e)
Softkey, Edge.
(f)
Softkey, 500 ps Edge.
(g)
Softkey, LIN.
(h)
Softkey, TARGET 1.
(i)
OUTPUT, ON.
(5) Calculate the adjustment value using the following formula and record in
Adjustment value = TI level(Vp-p) *
TRV = Test reported value for the attenuator placed between TI
. = 0.1023293
and storage oscilloscope.
Example: Adjustment value = 1.0000 *
