14. 10 s and 10 ms Delay Timing
a. Performance Check
(1) Set TI TIME/DIV switch to 10 s and time-base unit TIME/DIV switch to .2 s.
(3) Adjust vertical amplifier POSITION control to center intensified trace in upper
half of oscilloscope graticule. Set oscilloscope TRACE SEP control cw to position delayed-
sweep traces together.
(4) Adjust DELAY TIME control to start first intensified portion on second time

b. Adjustments
(1) R710 10 s TIMING (fig. 1) to horizontally align delayed-sweep time markers (R).
(2) Adjust R715 10 ms TIMING (fig. 1) to horizontally align delayed-sweep time
markers (R).
Time Accuracy
a. Performance Check
(1) Remove TI and extender and install TI directly in A HORIZ compartment.
(2) Set TI TIME/DIV switch to .1 s and time base unit TIME/DIV switch to 10 ns
(unmagnified).
(4) Adjust TRACE SEP control to position second delay-sweep trace approximately
0.2 division below first delayed-sweep trace.
(5) Position oscilloscope display for 1 time marker per division over center 8
divisions of intensified display.
(6) Adjust DELAY TIME control to start first intensified portion on time marker
which is nearest second graticule line. Adjust TIME control to start second intensified
portion on time marker which is nearest 10th graticule line.
(7) Further adjust TIME control to horizontally align time markers of first and
second delayed-sweep traces. Oscilloscope will display a time indication between 795.6
and 804.4 ns.
