(5) Position MIN RF ATTEN control to 10 dB and disconnect CAL OUT.
(6) Connect comb generator output to TI RF INPUT.
(7) Press FREQUENCY RANGE pushbutton for 5.4-18 GHz indication on crt and
adjust FREQUENCY SPAN/DIV control for maximum marker amplitude on display.
(8) Adjust FREQUENCY control to center a marker on crt, then check accuracy
over center 8 divisions of display. Deviation must not exceed 25 MHz/DIV on crt.
NOTE
The 1, 5, 10 GHz SPAN/DIV selections on bands 6 through 11
cannot be checked; however, their accuracies are directly
related to the 100 and 200 MHz selections.
(9) Press FREQUENCY RANGE pushbutton for 0-1.8 GHz indication on crt.
(10) Position controls as listed in (a) through (d) below:
(a) REFERENCE LEVEL
control to +20 dBm.
(b) FREQUENCY control to 500 MHz.
(c) FREQUENCY SPAN/DIV control to 50 MHz.
RF INPUT.
(13) Adjust FREQUENCY control toward lower frequency end of band until 50 MHz
markers are displayed over center 8 divisions (10 MHz markers will appear between each
50 MHz marker) then check accuracy over center 8 divisions of display. Deviation must not
exceed 2.5 MHz/DIV on crt.
(14) Adjust FREQUENCY SPAN/DIV control for 20 MHz indication on crt.
(15) Set oscilloscope calibrator to 50 ns markers.
(16) Adjust RESOLUTION BANDWIDTH control to 10 kHz.
(17) Repeat technique of (13) and (14) above, using settings listed in table 6
from 10 MHz to 100 kHz. Deviation must not exceed 5 percent per division.
