connect synthesized signal generator RF output to INPUT 1.
NOTE
The RED overload LED indicator (fig. 1) may be on at this
time. The IF must be driven sufficiently for the filter
adjustment, and the overload condition is acceptable.
(24) Adjust synthesized signal generator controls for frequency modulation of
200 kHz deviation.

(30) Connect synthesized signal generator RF output cable to INPUT 1, and adjust
