personnel fail to observe safety precautions.
REDUCE
OUTPUT(S) to minimum after each step within the
performance check where applicable.
NOTE
Remove TI covers only if adjustments are required.
a. Connect TI ac line cord to 115 V ac.
b. Press POWER pushbutton to ON position and then press RESET key.
NOTE
A calibration environment change of 1 degree in temperature
will permit the TI frequency to change 1 MHz.
c. Press FREQUENCY RANGE C+W F1 key and wait 10 seconds.
d. Press FREQUENCY RANGE CW F2 key and wait 10 seconds.
e. Repeat c and d above two more times.
f. Press FREQUENCY RANGE CW F1 key.
g. Press LEVEL key and set LEVEL display to -10 dBm by pressing -10 with DATA
ENTRY keys and then by pressing GHz/dBm/SEC DATA ENTRY key.
h. V/GHz OUTPUT preliminary setup as listed in (1) through (13) below:
(1) Connect multimeter to V/GHz OUTPUT (rear panel).

(2) Connect microwave frequency counter Input 2 to RF OUTPUT 50
(4) Press F1 M3 key and set F1 M3 display to 0.010 GHz by pressing 10 with
DATA ENTRY keys and then by pressing MHz/dB/mS DATA ENTRY key.
(5) Press F2 M6 key and set F2 M6 display to 18.000 GHz by pressing 18 with
DATA ENTRY keys and then by pressing GHz/dBm/SEC DATA ENTRY key.
(6) Rotate TRIGGER MANUAL SWEEP control fully ccw.
(7) Press TRIGGER MANUAL SWEEP key.
(8) Adjust TRIGGER MANUAL SWEEP control for a microwave frequency
counter indication as close as possible to 0.010 GHz. Record multimeter indication.
from Input 2 to Input 1 of microwave frequency counter.
(9) Move RF OUTPUT 50
(10) Adjust TRIGGER MANUAL SWEEP control for a microwave frequency
counter indication of 1.000 GHz. Record multimeter indication.
