(25) Press F1 M3 key and set F1 M3 display to 0.010 GHz by pressing 10 with
DATA ENTRY keys and then by pressing MHz/dB/mS DATA ENTRY key.
(26) Press F2 M6 key and set F2 M6 display to 2.000 GHz by pressing 2 with DATA
ENTRY key and then by pressing GHz/dBm/SEC DATA ENTRY key.
(27) Press LEVEL key and set LEVEL display to +13.0 dBm by pressing 13 with
DATA ENTRY keys and then by pressing GHz/dBm/SEC DATA ENTRY key.
(28) Connect RF OUTPUT 50
through a 10 dB attenuator (fixed) to power meter.
(29) Connect power meter RECORDER OUTPUT to TI EXTERNAL INPUT.
(31) Press in and rotate EXTERNAL ALC GAIN control until CAL indicator stays
lit continuously. Release EXTERNAL GAIN control.
NOTE
CAL indicator will extinguish when INTERNAL GAIN control
is released.
NOTE
Press in EXTERNAL ALC GAIN control. If CAL indicator
does not light, repeat (31) above.
(32) Subtract 10 dB attenuator (fixed) actual value at 10 MHz from 13.0 dBm.
Record difference.
Example 1.
NOTE
Treat 10 dB attenuator (fixed) actual attenuation as a positive value.
13.0 dBm
9.95 dB
(10 dB attenuator (fixed) value at 10 MHz)
3.05 dBm
(difference)
(33) Press LEVEL key and adjust INCR-DECR control for a power meter indication
as close as possible to difference recorded in (32) above.
(34) Slowly rotate TRIGGER MANUAL SWEEP control cw until multimeter
indicates same value as recorded in 7 h (11) above. Record the lowest and highest power
meter indications and associated multimeter indications.
NOTE
gigahertz.
(35) Record 10 dB attenuator (fixed) actual attenuation values from test report for
the lowest and highest power meter indications associated frequencies.
