NOTE
Do not perform power supply check if all other parameters are
within tolerance.
a. Performance Check
(1) Connect the power supply extender between the supply and the TI. Do not twist
the extender.
(2) Set POWER switch to ON.
(3) Activate the contacts on the power switch (next to the transformer).
(4) Connect frequency counter ground connection to TP4031 (fig. 6) and frequency
(5) Adjust trigger level of frequency counter for a frequency counter indication of
approximately 50 kHz.
(6) If frequency counter does not indicate between 49500 and 50500 Hz, perform b
(1) below.
(7) Connect multimeter to TP5010 (fig. 6). If multimeter does not indicate between
+4.47 and +5.25 V dc, perform b (2) below.
(8) Connect multimeter to TP5012 (fig. 6). If multimeter does not indicate between -4.75
and -5.75 V dc, perform b (3) below.
(9) Connect multimeter to TP6012 (fig. 6). If multimeter does not indicate between
+9.8 and +10.2 V dc, perform b (4) below.
(10) Connect multimeter to TP6011 (fig. 6). If multimeter does not indicate between
-9.8 and -10.2 V dc, perform b (5) below.
(11) Connect multimeter to TP5020 (fig. 6). Multimeter will indicate between -16
and +19 V dc.
b. Adjustments
(1) Adjust R1040 (fig. 6) for a frequency counter indication between 49500 and
50500 Hz (R).
(2) Adjust R1023 (fig. 6) for a multimeter indication between +4.75 and +5.25 V dc (R).
(3) Adjust R1023 (fig. 6) for a multimeter indication between -4.75 and -5.25 V dc (R).
(4) Adjust R6021 (fig. 6) for a multimeter indication between +9.8 and +10.2 V dc (R).
(5) Adjust R6020 (fig. 6) for a multimeter indication between -9.8 and -10.2 V dc (R).
