(3) Set TI RANGE switch to 500 V MΩ. Rotate generator crank cw at normal
speed. If digital voltmeter does not indicate 500 V dc 25 V dc, perform b(2) below.
b. Adjustments
(1) Adjust R10 (fig. 3) for 1000 V dc indication on digital voltmeter.
(2) Adjust R9 (fig. 3) for 500 V dc indication on digital voltmeter.
16. Resistance Measurement
a. Performance Check
(1) Connect resistance standard (A4) HI terminal to TI LINE terminal and
resistance standard LO terminal to TI GROUND terminal, using leads and adapters (B3,
B4, B1, and B2).
(2) Set TI RANGE switch to 1000V MΩx2. Rotate generator crank cw at speed. TI
meter will indicate 50MΩ .045 inches. Note TI meter indication.
(3) Remove -resistance standard from TI. Short TI HI and LO terminals, using
lead and adapters (B3, B1, and B2). Rotate generator crank cw at normal speed. TI meter
will indicate 0 .045 inches. If TI meter does not indicate .045 inches on both ends of the
scale as noted in (2) above perform b(1) through (3) below.
(4) Reconnect resistance standard to TI and set resistance standard for 50 MΩ.
(5) Set TI RANGE switch to 100 V MΩ. Rotate generator crank cw at normal
speed. TI meter will indicate 50Ω M .045 inches. Note TI meter indication.
(6) Remove resistance standard from TI. Short TI HI and LO terminals using lead
and adapters (B3, B1, and B2). Rotate generator crank cw at normal speed. TI meter will
indicate 0 .045 inches. If TI meter does not indicate .045 inches on both ends of the scale
as indicated in (5) above, perform b(4) through (6) below.
(7) Connect equipment as shown in (fig. 2) and substitute resistance standards as
required for settings and indications listed in table 5. Resistance standard will indicate
within limits specified.
b. Adjustments
(1) With TI HI and LO terminals shorted rotate generator crank cw at normal
speed and adjust R2 (fig. 3) for 0 .045 inches.
