r. Press Channels key and set Channel 2 display Off and set Channel 3 display On.
Press Display Mode until Average is highlighted and set Bandwidth to 12.4 GHz is
highlighted.
s. Move connection from Channel 2 to Channel 3.
t. Repeat d through o above for Channel 3 except use LB3 and HB3 (fig. 12) on
vertical assembly A2.
u. Press Channels key and set Channel 3 display Off and set Channel 4 display On.
Press Display Mode until Average is highlighted and set Bandwidth to 12.4 GHz is
highlighted.
v. Move connection from Channel 3 to Channel 4.
w. Repeat d through o above for Channel 4 except use LB4 and HB4 on vertical
x. Press Delta V key and set MARKERS Off.
y. Press More, Utility, and Cal Menu keys.
z. Press Channel Vertical Cal key and follow the instructions on the display. When
Calibrating stops flashing on the display press Exit Cal Menu and More keys.
23. Offset Gain Adjustment
a. Set the display menu and mainframe settings to meet the following conditions:
(1) Press Display key. Display Mode to Averaged is highlighted. NUMBER OF
AVERAGES to # Averages = 8. Screen to Single is highlighted. Graticule to Grid is
highlighted. Bandwidth to 12.4 GHz is highlighted.
(2) Press Channels key. Channel 1 display On is highlighted. Channel 2
through 4 display Off is highlighted. VOLTS/DIV to 1.000 mV/div. OFFSET to Offset =
0.000 V. PROBE ATTEN to Ch1 Atten Factor = 1.000.
(3) Press Timebase key. TIME/DIV to Sweep Speed = 1.00 s/div. DELAY to
Delay = 200.000 ns. Delay Ref at Left is highlighted. Freerun/Trg'd/Sweep to
Freerun is highlighted. FREERUN RATE to 10 kHz is highlighted.
(4) Press Network key. Reflect/Trans/Cal to Reflect is highlighted. Step &
Chan 1 to Off is highlighted.
b. Remove all input connections from TI.
c. Press Utility, Cal Menu, and Channel Vertical Cal keys and follow the
instructions on the display. When Calibrating stops flashing and #Avgs = 8 appears on
the display, press Exit Cal Menu and More keys.
CAUTION
Exceeding 2 V on function generator may damage the TI input.
