11. Continuity (40/400 Auto Ranging Model Only)
a. Performance Check
NOTE
If the resistance being tested is ≤20.0 Ω, the buzzer beeps.
(1) Set the TI function selector switch to the
mode is enabled by pressing the mode selector switch on resistance range. The continuity
check mode symbol
should be indicated on the display.
(2) With the tip of the test leads shorted together, press the TI Zero Adjust/Reset
button to offset the resistance of the test leads.
(3) Set the resistance standard for an 18 Ω output.
(4) The buzzer should beep and the meter should indicate between 17.5 Ω and
18.5 Ω.
(5) Set the resistance standard for a 22 Ω output. The buzzer should not beep and
the meter should indicate between 21.5 Ω and 22.5 Ω.

The 40/400 auto ranging model for Ohms (Defaults to Lo). Lo:
0-399.9 Ω (Shifts to Hi at 400.0 Ω), and Hi: 150-4000 Ω (Shifts
to Lo at 149 Ω).
