(a) FREQUENCY control to 5 MHz.
(b) FREQUENCY SPEN/DIV switch to 1 MHz.
(c) REFERENCE LEVEL control to +10 dBm.
(d) MIN RF ATTEN db control to 10 dB.
(e) Press DEGAUSS pushbutton.
(138) Connect oscilloscope calibrator to RF INPUT.
(140) Adjust FREQUENCY control to position a marker 2.5 divisions to right of crt
graticule centerline.
(141) Adjust FREQUENCY SPAN/DIV control to 50 kHz and press DEGAUSS
pushbutton.
(142) Adjust FREQUENCY control cw until markers stop moving across crt (this is
the end of 2d LO turning range).
NOTE
Press DIGITAL STORAGE SAVE-A pushbutton to on to set
up marker reference position.
(143) Adjust FREQUENCY control ccw and count markers as they cross reference
marker until markers stop moving across crt. If 10th marker is more than one division
from reference, adjust R4040 (R4028) (fig. 10) to reduce the distance by half.
(145) Press DIGITAL STORAGE SAVE-A pushbutton to off.
NOTE
It may be necessary to adjust REFERENCE LEVEL control
for location of 1 s marker on crt.
(146) Position controls as listed in (a) through (c) below:
(a)FREQUENCY SPAN/DIV control to 500 kHz.
(b)FREQUENCY control to 5 MHz.
(147) Press IDENTIFY 500 kHz/ONLY pushbutton to on.
(148) Adjust R1028 (fig. 10) until markers aline horizontally on alternate sweeps.
(149) Push POWER switch to off and disconnect extender board and reinstall
(150) Pull POWER switch to on and disconnect TI from equipment setup.
(151) Connect multimeter to TP1011 and ground (fig. 8).
(152) Press FREQUENCY RANGE pushbutton until 3.0-7.1 GHz is shown on crt.
