REDUCE
OUTPUT(S) to TI minimum after each step within the
performance check where applicable.
a. Set power switch to ON and allow 15 minutes for warm-up and stabilization.
(During this time the TI executes a series of self-tests on the digital and analog circuits;
error codes are displayed in the event of hardware failure.)

Error codes are described in Section 8 of service manual.
NOTE
SOFTKEY: The function of each softkey is labeled on the
screen. When a selection is made, the next level of choices
appears. HARDKEY: Labeled keys.
b. Position controls as listed in (1) through (3) below. This will start a calibration
routine that runs specific diagnostic modes that calibrate the stored receiver constants.
(1) Press hardkey SET UP.
(2) Press softkey CALIBRATE/SELF-CHECK.
(3) Press softkey CALIBRATE.
8. Receiver Level and Frequency
a. Performance Check
(1) Press hardkey SET UP and verify that the crt displays appear as listed in (a)
through (g) below:
(c) RCVR TERM/BRDG TERM.
(d) SF Skip OFF.
(e) Voice Band Limit OFF.
(f) TRMT Hold Coil OFF.
(g) RCVR Hold Coil OFF.
NOTE
If crt display does not appear as listed in (a) through (g) above,
press appropriate hardkeys and softkeys for proper indication.
