Identification.
This
bulletin
provides
instructions
for
periodic
calibration
of
the
cylinder
cage,
model
452,
which
is
used
to
test
whether
a
cylinder
is
accurately
round
and
to
measure
the
amount
of
out-
of-roundness
in
a
worn
cylinder.
The
cylinder
gage
will
hereafter
he
referred
to
as
the
test
instrument
throughout
this
bulletin.

equipment
used

this
calibration
procedure.
Minimum
use
specifications
are
the
principal
parameters
required
for
calibration
Performance,
and
are
included
to
assist
in
selection
of
alternate
equipment,
which
may
be
used
at
the
discretion
of
the
calibrating
activity.
Satisfactory
performance
of
alternate
items
shall
be
verified
prior
to
use.
All
applicable
equipment
must
hear
evidence
of
current
calibration.
