CAUTION
Do not turn off cool/heat source at temperatures higher than
100 C. This may create a hazardous situation. Select a set-
point lower than 100 C and allow the instrument to cool before
turning off.
(6) Set cool/heat source to a low temperature and allow it to cool down.
Deenergize equipment and remove TI and thermometer.
b. Adjustments. For the MIC-11CF, 80T150C, and 80T150F, no adjustments can be
made. Perform technique (1) below for the 80T-150U and technique (2) below for the
80T-150UA.
(1) Adjustments (80T-150U)
NOTE
Output is 1 mV per degree (Celsius or Fahrenheit)
(a) Access the interior of the temperature-to-voltage converter by removing the
bottom case screw and separating the case halves.
(b) Connect the 80T-150U to the multimeter and select mV dc range.
(c) Select the C position of the switch. Immerse the probe tip 2 inches into the
into the Cool/Heat Source thermometer monitored 0 C bath and allow 60 seconds for the
readings to stabilize.
(d) Adjust R3 (fig. 1) to obtain the following reading: 0.00 0.05 mV dc.
(e) Select the F position of the switch and adjust R2 (fig. 1) to obtain the
following reading: 32.0 0.1 mV dc.
