NOTE
In the following checks, max hold should be used on spectrum
analyzer.
(1) Connect equipment as shown in figure 4, connection A.

(2) Setup spectrum analyzer to make a reference trace, (trace 1), for approximately
(3) Disconnect termination no. 2 from VSWR bridge and connect termination no. 3
as shown in connection B.
(4) Blank 1.00 trace, (trace 1), on spectrum analyzer. Sweep signal generator
across frequency range of TI and make a reference trace, (trace 2), for 1.20 VSWR.
(5) Disconnect termination no. 3 from VSWR bridge and
connect
equipment
as
shown in connection C.
(6) Blank 1.20 trace, (trace 2), on spectrum analyzer. Sweep signal source across
frequency range of TI and make a trace (trace 3).
(7) Display all 3 traces on spectrum analyzer. Trace 3 will be less than the 1.20
VSWR reference, (trace 2), established in (4) above.
