(15) Set CALIBRATOR frequency to 40 kHz. Adjust A2C109 (HIGH 40 DB) for a
reading on right display between 99.70 and 100.3%.
(16) Set CALIBRATOR frequency to 100 kHz. Adjust A2C109 for a reading between
99.50 and 100.5%. Repeat technique of (15) and (16) as often as needed until flatness at 40
kHz and 100 kHz is within limits specified.
(17) On TI, key in 41.0 SPCL to initialize instrument. Set INPUT switch to
FLOAT. Set LP FILTER off. Key in 1.10 SPCL to set input to 4.76 V range.
(18) Set CALIBRATOR for 4.5 V rms at 1 kHz and connect CALIBRATOR to TI
LOW INPUT. Short TI HIGH INPUT to ground.
(19) Set CALIBRATOR to OPR, TI right display should read between 4.4 and 4.6 V.
Press TI RATIO key.
(20) Set CALIBRATOR frequency to 40 kHz. Adjust A2C90 (LOW 12 DB) as shown
in figure 1 above, for a reading on right display between 99.70 and 100.3%.
(21) Set CALIBRATOR frequency to 100 kHz. Adjust A2C90 for a reading between
99.50 and 100.5%. Repeat technique of (20) and (21) as often as needed until flatness at 40
kHz and 100 kHz is within limits specified. (See the following note.)
NOTE
If the flatness cannot be adjusted so that the 40 kHz and
100 kHz readings are both within the given limits, change
A2C89 as follows: If the 100 kHz reading is higher than at
40 kHz, decrease A2C4 by approximately 10%. If the 40 kHz
reading is higher than that at 100 kHz, increase A2C89 by
approximately 10%.
(22) On TI, press RATIO to turn it off. Key in 1.7 SPCL to set input to 18.9V range.
(23) Set CALIBRATOR frequency to 1 kHz and level to 15 V rms.
(24) TI right display should read between 14.7 and 15.3 V. Press RATIO.
(25) Set CALIBRATOR frequency to 40 kHz. Adjust A2C92 (LOW 24 DB) for a
reading on right display between 99.70 and 100.3%.
(26) Set CALIBRATOR frequency to 100 kHz. Adjust A2C92 for a reading between
99.50 and 100.5%. Repeat technique of (25) and (26) as often as needed until flatness at
40 kHz and 100 kHz is within limits specified.
NOTE
If the flatness cannot be adjusted so that the 40 kHz and
100 kHz readings are both within the given limits, change
A2C102 as follows: If the 100 kHz reading is higher than at
40 kHz, decrease A2C102 by approximately 10%. If the 40 kHz
reading is higher than that at 100 kHz, increase A2C102 by
approximately 10%.
(27) On TI, press RATIO to turn it off. Key in 1.4 SPCL to set input to 75.4 V range.
(28) Set CALIBRATOR frequency to 1 kHz and level to 60 V rms.
(29) TI right display should read between 58.8 and 61.2 V. Press RATIO.
(30) Set CALIBRATOR frequency to 40 kHz. Adjust A2C110 (LOW 40 DB) for a
reading on right display between 99.70 and 100.3%.
