(c) A AND B TIME/DIV AND DELAY TIME to .5 s.
(2) Connect oscilloscope calibrator SOURCE/MEASURE CHAN 1 to TI CH 1
INPUT and CHAN 2 to TI CH 2 INPUT using 50 Ω feedthrough terminations.
(3) Set oscilloscope calibrator for a CHAN 1, EDGE mode output of 100 mV, and
pushbutton for 5 divisions of vertical deflection on TI. If TI does not display optimum flat
top adjust C263 and C265 (fig. 1 for Type 453) (fig. 2 for Type 453A) for optimum square
wave indication on TI (R).
(4) Set A AND B TIME/DIV AND DELAY TIME switches to .2 s and MAG switch
to X10. If TI does not display flat top and square corner, perform b (1) below.
(5) Set CH 1 VOLTS/DIV switch to 10 mV, set MAG switch to OFF. Set
oscilloscope calibrator CHAN 1, EDGE output to 50 mV, and rotate oscilloscope calibrator
knob located below EDIT FIELD pushbutton for 5 divisions of vertical deflection on TI. If
TI does not display optimum square wave, perform b (2) below.
(6) Set CH 1 VOLTS/DIV switch to 5 mV. Set oscilloscope calibrator CHAN 1,
EDGE output to 25 mV, and
rotate oscilloscope calibrator knob
located below EDIT
FIELD pushbutton for 5 divisions of vertical deflection on TI. If TI does not display
optimum square wave, perform b (3) below.
(7) Set MODE switch to CH 2.
(8) Set oscilloscope calibrator for a CHAN 2, EDGE mode output of 100 mV, and
pushbutton for 5 divisions of vertical deflection on TI. If TI does not display optimum
square wave, perform b (4) below.
(9) Repeat technique of (5) above for CH 2. If TI does not display optimum square
wave, perform b (5) below.
(10) Repeat technique of (6) above for CH 2. If TI does not display optimum square
wave, perform b (6) below.
b. Adjustments
(1) Adjust R328, C328, (fig. 3) C45A, R45C, and C45C (fig. 1 for Type 453) R328,
C336, C328 (fig. 3) R49, C54, C49, and C45A (fig. 2 for Type 453A) for optimum square
wave indication on TI (R).
(2) Adjust C44A and C44C (fig. 1 for Type 453A) R44C and C44C (fig. 2 for Type
453A) for optimum square wave indication on TI (R).
(3) Adjust L43A, C43A, C43C, and R43C (fig. 1 for Type 453) R43C, C43C, C43A,
and L43A (fig. 2 for Type 453A) for optimum square wave indication on TI (R).
(4) Adjust C145C, R145C, and C145A (fig. 1 for Type 453); R149, C149, C154, and
C145A (fig. 2 for Type 453A) for optimum square wave indication on TI (R).
(5) Adjust C144A and C144C (fig. 1 for Type 453) R144C and C144C (fig. 2 for Type
453A) for optimum square wave indication on TI (R).
