a. Performance Check
(1) Set A AND B TIME/DIV AND DELAY TIME switches to 1 s and B SWEEP
MODE switch to B TRIGGERABLE AFTER DELAY TIME.
(2) Set oscilloscope calibrator for a CHAN 1, MARKER output of 1 s.
(3) Adjust HORIZ POSITION control to align first marker with first vertical
graticule line.
(4) Rotate oscilloscope calibrator knob located below EDIT FIELD pushbutton to
align 1 marker per division. If oscilloscope calibrator Err display readout is not within
3%, perform b (1) and (2) below.
(5) Set HORIZ DISPLAY switch to DELAYED SWEEP (B).
(6) Rotate oscilloscope calibrator knob located below EDIT FIELD pushbutton to
align 10th time marker with 10th vertical graticule line. If TI does not indicate within 3%
as indicated on oscilloscope calibrator Err display readout, perform b (3) and (4) below.
(7) Set A AND B TIME/DIV AND DELAY TIME switches to .1 s and HORIZ
DISPLAY switch to A.
(8) Set oscilloscope calibrator for a CHAN 1, MARKER output of 20 ns.
(9) Adjust horizontal POSITION control to align display with first vertical
graticule line.
(10) Set MAG switch to X10 and adjust level control for a stable display.
(11) Rotate oscilloscope calibrator knob located below EDIT FIELD pushbutton for 1
marker every two divisions on TI. If oscilloscope calibrator Err display readout does not
indicate within 4%, perform b (5) and (6) below.
(12) Set MAG switch to OFF.
(13) Set oscilloscope calibrator for a CHAN 1, MARKER output of .1 s.
(14) Adjust HORIZ POSITION control to align first marker with first vertical
graticule line.
(15) Rotate oscilloscope calibrator knob located below EDIT FIELD pushbutton for 1
marker every per division on TI. Oscilloscope calibrator Err display readout will indicate
within limits specified in first row of table 6.
(16) Repeat technique of (13) through (15) above for TI and oscilloscope calibrator
indicate within limits specified in table 6.
