(7) Measure risetime, using standard risetime technique. Risetime will be 7 ns or less.
b. Adjustments. No adjustments can be made.
a. Performance Check
(1) Connect TI 1 kHz CAL output to frequency counter A input.
If frequency
counter does not indicate between 995 and 1005 Hz, perform b (1) below.
(2) Position switches as listed in (a) through (d) below:
(a) CH 1 VOLTS/DIV to 20 mV.
(b) A AND B TIME/DIV AND DELAY TIME to .5 ms.
(c) VERTICAL MODE to CH 1.
(d) MAG to OFF.
(3) Remove connection from frequency counter and connect to CH 1 INPUT. Note
indication on TI.
(4) Remove connection from CH 1 INPUT and connect oscilloscope calibrator
SOURCE/MEASURE CHAN 1 to CH 1 INPUT.
(5) Set oscilloscope calibrator for a CHAN 1, VOLTAGE mode output of .1 V at 1 kHz.
(6) Rotate oscilloscope calibrator knob located below EDIT FIELD pushbutton for
same indication noted in (3) above. If oscilloscope calibrator Err display readout is not
within 1%, perform b (2) below.
b. Adjustments
(1) Adjust T1225 (fig. 1 for Type 453, fig. 2, for Type 453A) for 1000 Hz indication on
frequency counter (R).
(2) Rotate oscilloscope calibrator knob located below EDIT FIELD pushbutton for
Err display of 0.0% and note indication on TI.
(3) Connect TI 1 kHz CAL OUTPUT to CH 1 input, and adjust R1152 (fig. 4) for
same indication noted in (2) above (R).
NOTE
Do not perform power supply check if all other parameters are
within tolerance.
a. Performance Check
(1) Connect digital multimeter between -12 VOLT TEST POINT (fig. 4) and chassis
ground. If digital multimeter does not indicate between -11.988 and -12.012 V dc (-11.68
and -12.32 V dc for Type 453A), perform b (1) below.
(2) Connect digital multimeter between +12 VOLT TEST POINT (fig. 4) and chassis
ground. If digital multimeter does not indicate between +11.98 and +12.22 V dc, perform b
(2) below.
