WARNING

REDUCE
OUTPUT(S) to minimum after each step within the
performance check where applicable.
a. Connect TI to 115 V ac, 60 Hz power source using TI AC/DC adapter. Press TI ON
OFF button to ON and allow 15 minute warm-up.
b. Verify TI firmware version by pressing TI left-most and right-most blue buttons
simultaneously, and then release both buttons simultaneously. TI firmware version will be
shown at the bottom of TI display.
c. Simultaneously press TI AC/DC/GROUND keys to enter TI SERVICE menu. This
will allow TI to be switched between SCOPE and METER modes.
NOTE
When TI is in service mode, only the blue soft-keys, blue
select/adjust keys (keys with up and down arrows), and the
ON/OFF key can be operated.
d. While in SERVICE menu, press TI SCOPE soft-key to enter SCOPE function.
e. A test pattern consisting of a circle inside a square and a diagonal line will be
displayed. Verify the lines are continuous and not interrupted.
f. Press TI upper select/adjust key. TI displays the same pattern in a lower contrast.
Verify the lines are continuous and not interrupted.
g. Press TI upper select/adjust key. TI displays Verif 3 to show this is the third test.
h. Verify both TI CHANNEL A and CHANNEL B are at vertical center of screen.
a. Performance Check
(1) Press TI upper select/adjust key. TI will display Verif 4.
(2) Connect calibrator OUTPUT HI and LO to TI CHANNEL A input.
(3) Set calibrator for a 212.13 mV rms @ 1 kHz output.
(4) Adjust calibrator output for 6 divisions of display on TI. If calibrator displayed
output is not between 207.92 and 216.34 mV perform b below.
(5) Set calibrator for a 300 mV dc output.
(6) Adjust calibrator output for 3 divisions of display on TI. If calibrator displayed
output is not between 294 and 306 mV perform b below.
