TB 9-4920-469-24
IDENTIFICATION AND DESCRIPTION
1. Test Instrument Identification.
This bulletin provides instructions for the
calibration of Turbine Temperature Test Set, Barfield, Models TT1000A, TT1200 and
TT1200A. The manufacturer's manual was used as the prime data source in compiling
these instructions. The equipment being calibrated will be referred to as the TI (test
instrument) throughout this bulletin.
a. Model Variations
(1) Model TT1000A Test Set:
(a) MOD B indicates the unit is configured for aircraft that have millivoltage
doubler systems.
(b) MOD D indicates the addition of the 2000 milliohm range.
(c) OPT A indicates a 4-pin connector installed on panel for interfacing an
adapter cable in place of the standard leads.
(d) OPT B indicates an additional resistance range 2 kΩ was added.
(e) OPT D indicates Indicator Test and Temperature Measurement ranges have
been extended up to 1200 C.
(2) Model TT1200 Test Set: There are no MODs or OPTs.
(3) Model TT1200A Test Set: MOD B indicates a resistor value change in order to
ensure an Off-State for a non-active processor I/O pin. There is no functional change to the
test set.
b. Time and Technique. The time required for this calibration is approximately 3
hours, using the physical techniques.
2. Forms, Records, and Reports. Forms, records, and reports required for calibration
personnel at all levels are prescribed by TB 750-25.
3. Calibration Description. TI parameters and performance specifications which
pertain to this calibration are listed in table 1.
