8. Temperature (Model TT1000A)
a. Performance Check
(1) Connect K-Type Thermocouple Wire to the TI connector, observing polarity.
(2) Set cool/heat source to ambient temperature (22 C/71.6 F) and allow time
to stabilize.
(3) Immerse the K-Type Thermocouple Wire and into the cold well of the cool/heat source.
(4) The TI and cool/heat source indications must agree within 1 C (1.8 F) of each other.
(5) Disconnect test setup.
(6) Remove TI from its case and short TP4 to COM and TP3 to TP1.
(7) Short TI test leads together.
(8) Set TI controls as indicated in (a) through (e) below:
(a) FUNCTION
TEMP MEASURE
20 OHMS
TEMP ADJ
(c)
fully CCW
(d) SYSTEM RES
fully CCW
(e) ON/OFF
ON
(9) TI display must indicate 000 C or -000 C.
(10) Disconnect TI test leads from each other. TI display must indicate OPEN -1 C.
(11) Set TI ON/OFF switch to OFF.
(12) Set multimeter to DCV and 100 mV range. Perform multimeter Math Null as necessary.
(13)Connect TI test leads to multimeter input while observing polarity.
(14)Set TI FUNCTION switch to INDICATOR TEST and ON/OFF switch to ON.
(15)Rotate TI TEMP ADJ control until TI display indicates the first value listed in
Table 3. Temperature Accuracy Check (Model TT-1000A).
