10. Resistance (Model TT1000A)
a. Performance Check
(1) Connect TI test leads to resistance standard NO. 1.
(2) Set TI FUNCTION switch to RESISTANCE MEASURE and ON/OFF switch to ON.
(3) Set the TI RESISTANCE RANGE switch to the first position listed in the
Range column of table 6.
(4) Set resistance standard NO. 1 dials to the first value listed in the Applied
column of table 6.

Model TT1000A OPT B: If TI has a 2 kΩ range, select by placing RESISTANCE RANGE switch in the 200 Ω position and

the 2 K/200 Ω switch in the 2 K position.
2 Before making measurement, substitute resistance standard NO. 2 for resistance standard NO. 1.
(5) Press the TI black PTM pushbutton and release after obtaining a reading.
(6) If the TI display does not indicate within the corresponding values listed in the
Limits column of table 6, perform b below.
(7) Repeat steps (3) through (6) above for remaining values listed in table 6.
b. Adjustments
(1) Remove TI from case.
(2) Connect TI to resistance standard NO. 1, set to 16 Ω.
(3) Set TI FUNCTION switch to RESISTANCE MEASURE, and RESISTANCE
RANGE to 20Ω.
(4) Depress and hold TI black PTM pushbutton.
(5) Adjust TI P1 until TI display indicates 16.00 Ω.
(6) Release pushbutton.
(7) Disconnect TI from resistance standard.
(8) Set TI RESISTANCE RANGE to 2MΩ.
(9) Short TI test clips and depress and hold black PTM pushbutton.
(10)Adjust TI P2 to achieve TI display of .000MΩ.
(11)Release pushbutton.
(12)Connect TI to resistance standard NO. 1, set to 1 MΩ.
(13)Depress and hold TI black PTM pushbutton.
