a. Reset the TI as listed in technique (1) through (4) below:
(1) Press the power switch to turn the TI off.
(2) Press and hold the USER key.
(3) Press the power switch to turn the TI on.
(4) Wait until the TI has beeped twice, and then release the USER key. When the
TI has beeped twice, the RESET was successful.
b. Create a TI CAL_A following the technique in (1) through (23) below:
(1) Press A.
(2) Press F1 to select INPUT A ON.
(3) Press F3 Probe A.
keys select Voltage, 1:1 and press ENTER.
(4) Using
(5) Press SCOPE.
(6) Press F1 to select READINGS ON.
(7) Press F2 READING.
(8) Press F1 to select READINGS 1.
keys select on A, Vdc, and press ENTER.
(9) Using
(10) Press F2 READING.
(11) Press F1 to select READINGS 2.
keys select Off, and press ENTER.
(12) Using
(13) Press F4 CLOSE.
(14) Press F4 WAVEFORM OPTIONS.
(15) Using
keys select Glitch: Off, Acquisition: Normal, Average: Off,
Waveform: Normal and press Enter.
(16) Press MANUAL/AUTO to select MANUAL ranging (MANUAL in upper right
of screen).
(17) Press SAVE.
(18) Press F1 SAVE.
keys select Screen + Setup, and press ENTER.
(19) Using
(20) Press F1 EDIT NAME.
keys, F2 PREV # and F3 NEXT # set Save As: to CAL_A and
(21) Using
press F4 CLOSE.
keys select OK SAVE, and press ENTER.
(22) Using
(23) Press F1 SAVE and ENTER.
c. Create a TI CAL_B following the instruction in (1) through (26) below:
(1) Repeat 7 a above.
(2) Press B to turn INPUT B ON.
(3) Press A, and F1 to select INPUT A OFF.
(4) Press CLEAR.
