(2) Press TI [HELP/SET-UP], [Calibrate], [2-port Pwr Mtr], [ANT input] keys.
CAUTION
Do not apply power to power amplifier until minimizing signal
generator output amplitude. The power splitter may be
permanently damaged if maximum power level of power
splitter is exceeded. Also, ensure power arriving at measuring
receiver sensor is below +25 dBm.
(3) Set RF power amplifer gain to 50%. Set signal generator frequency to 10 MHz
and output to -45 dBm. Slowly increase signal generator output and, if necessary, power
amplifier gain for a measuring receiver indication of +6 dBm.
(4) Use TI [ ], [ ] keys to highlight 10 MHz calibration point on displayed table.
(5) Use TI front panel rotary knob to change TI power indication displayed on
bottom of TI screen to match measuring receiver indication.
(6) Use TI [ ], [ ] keys to highlight next calibration point on displayed table.
(7) Set signal generator frequency to required calibration point frequency and
output to -45 dBm. Slowly increase signal generator output and, if necessary, power
amplifier gain for a measuring receiver indication of +6 dBm.
(8) Use TI front panel rotary knob to change TI power indication displayed on
bottom of TI screen to match measuring receiver indication.
(9) Repeat technique of (6) through (8) above for remaing calibration points in TI
displayed table.
(10) Press TI [ANT no 10dB] key.
(11) Set RF power amplifer gain to 50%. Set signal generator frequency to 10 MHz
and output to -45 dBm. Slowly increase signal generator output and, if necessary, power
amplifier gain for a measuring receiver indication of 0 dBm.
(12) Use TI [ ], [ ] keys to highlight 10 MHz calibration point on displayed table.
(13) Use TI front panel rotary knob to change TI power indication displayed on
bottom of TI screen to match measuring receiver indication.
(14) Use TI [ ], [ ] keys to highlight next calibration point on displayed table.
(15) Set signal generator frequency to required calibration point frequency and
output to -45 dBm. Slowly increase signal generator output and, if necessary, power
amplifier gain for a measuring receiver indication of 0 dBm.
(16) Use TI front panel rotary knob to change TI power indication displayed on
bottom of TI screen to match measuring receiver indication.
(17) Repeat technique of (14) through (16) above for remaining calibration points in
TI displayed table.
(18) Set all outputs to minimum and connect equipment as shown in figure 8 above.
(19) Press TI [N-type input] key.
