Frequency Span Accuracy
a. Performance Check
(1) Press TI 2-22 GHz key.
(2) Connect TI RF INPUT to signal generator RF output connector.
(3) Connect TI 10 MHz OUT (rear panel) to signal generator external reference in
connector (rear panel).
(4) Set the signal generator for an output frequency of 40 MHz at a 10 dBm level.
(5) Press TI keys as listed in (a) and (b) below:
(6) Change signal generator output frequency to 39.992 MHz (table 5 low frequency).
(7) Press TI MARKER NORMAL, PEAK SEARCH.
and change signal generator output frequency to
(8) Press TI MARKER
(9) Press TI PEAK SEARCH.
(10) TI MARKER
frequency indication on TI display will indicate within limits
(11) Repeat technique of steps (5) (b) through (10) above for remaining signal
generator frequencies and TI frequency spans listed in table 5. TI MARKER frequency
indications will indicate within limits specified in table 5.

(12) Disconnect TI RF INPUT from signal generator RF output connector.
(13) Connect TI RF INPUT to synthesized signal generator No. 1 RF Output.
(14) Disconnect TI 10 MHz OUT from signal generator external reference in
connector (rear panel).
(15) Connect TI 10 MHz OUT (rear panel) to synthesized signal generator No. 1 10
MHz REF IN (rear panel).
(16) Set the synthesized signal generator No. 1 for an output frequency of 4 GHz at a
10 dBm level.
