31. Frequency and Sensitivity
a. Performance Check
(1) Connect function/arbitrary generator OUTPUT to TI INPUT, using cable and
termination (if needed).
(2)
Position controls as listed in (a) through (d) below:
(a) FUNCTION switch to FREQ TO 10 MHz.
(b) TIME/AVGS to AUTO.
(c) All buttons in OUT position.
(d) TRIGGER LEVEL control to midrange.
(3) Adjust function/arbitrary generator frequency to 10 Hz and amplitude to
minimum.
(4) Slowly increase function/arbitrary generator's amplitude until TI displays a
stable count. Function/arbitrary generator will indicate 30 mV rms or less.
(5) Repeat technique of (3) and (4) above at 1 kHz, 100 kHz, 1 MHz, 5 MHz, and
10 MHz. Function/arbitrary generator will indicate 30 mV rms or less for each frequency.
(6) Disconnect function/arbitrary generator from TI and connect signal generator
RF OUTPUT to TI INPUT, using adapter, cable, and termination.
(7) Set FUNCTION switch to FREQ TO 100 MHz.
(8
Adjust signal generator to 100 MHz at minimum amplitude.
(9) Slowly increase signal generator's amplitude until TI displays a stable count.
Signal generator will indicate 30 mV rms or less.
b. Adjustments. No further adjustments can be made.
