REDUCE
OUTPUT(S) to minimum after each step within the
performance check where applicable.
NOTE
Remove TI covers only if adjustments are required.
a. Connect TI ac line cord to 115 V ac.
b. Press POWER pushbutton to ON position and then press RESET key.
NOTE
A calibration environment change of 1 degree in temperature
will permit the TI frequency to change 1 MHz.
c. Press FREQUENCY RANGE CW F1 key and wait 10 seconds.
d. Press FREQUENCY RANGE CW F2 key and wait 10 seconds.
e. Repeat c and d above two more times.
f. Press FREQUENCY RANGE CW F1 key.
8. Frequency Accuracy Test
a. Performance Check
(1) Press RESET key.
(3) Press LEVEL key and set LEVEL display to -10 dBm by pressing -10 with
DATA ENTRY keys and then by pressing GHz/dBm/ SEC DATA ENTRY key.
(4) Connect RF OUTPUT 50 to INPUT 2 of microwave frequency counter and
wait 1 minute for frequency count to settle. If microwave frequency counter does not
indicate between 10 Hz and 20 MHz, perform b below.
(5) Disconnect RF OUTPUT 50
from INPUT 2 of microwave frequency counter.

(6) Connect RF OUTPUT 50
(7) Press TI FREQUENCY RANGE CW F2 key and wait 1 minute for frequency
count to settle. If microwave frequency counter indication is not between 39.98 and 40.02
GHz, perform b below.
(8) Disconnect RF OUTPUT 50
from INPUT 1 of microwave frequency counter.
(9) Press TI FREQUENCY RANGE CW F1 key and set F1 M3 display to 1.000
GHz by pressing 1 with DATA ENTRY key and then by pressing GHz/dBm/SEC DATA
ENTRY key.
