CALIBRATION PROCESS
6. Preliminary Instructions
a. The instructions outlined in paragraph 6 and 7 are preparatory to the calibration
process. Personnel should become familiar with the entire bulletin before beginning the
calibration.
b. Items of equipment used in this procedure are referenced within the text by common
c. Unless otherwise specified, verify the result of each test and, whenever the test
requirement is not met, take corrective action before continuing with the calibration.
Adjustments required to calibrate the TI are included in this procedure. Additional
maintenance information is contained in IETM 9-6625-3637-23&P for this TI.
d. Unless otherwise specified, all controls and control settings refer to the TI.
HIGH VOLTAGE is used or exposed during the performance of
this calibration.
DEATH ON CONTACT may result if
personnel fail to observe safety precautions.
REDUCE
OUTPUT(S) to minimum after each step within the
performance check where applicable.
a. Calibrate multimeter (APN 13666158, Agilent U1252A) in accordance with
TB 9-6625-102-24.
b. Connect equipment as shown in figure 1. Disconnect strap between V-GUARD and
GROUND on calibrator and set the PROGRAMMING ON/OFF switch located on the
side of the ATE to OFF.
NOTE
Set interrogator COM port and USB serial Port to COM 9 or
below in the Windows Device Manager.
c. Energize ATE. Wait for ATE STATUS indicator (left side) to stop blinking before
continuing.
NOTE
Multimeter serial port parameters can be viewed/set by turning
rotary knob to OFF, then turning to any non-OFF position while
holding down SHIFT button. Press left/right arrows to scroll
through menu items and up/down arrows to scroll through
available settings. Press "Hz" to save changes and SHIFT for
more than 1 second to exit setup mode. For both calibration and
typical field use, serial port must be set as follows: ECHO off, 8
data bits, no parity, 4800 baud.
