(10)When completed, the message "Would you like to save the calibrated state file?"
is displayed. Click yes then name the file and Save.
(11)Insert the 20 dB attenuator from of the Verification Kit when prompted, then
click Measure this device. Once the measurement is finished click Display phase on the
next screen displayed.
(12)Follow the on-screen prompts for the remaining attenuator(s).
(13)The System Verification Pass/Fail screen is displayed when completed. Verify
that all attenuators passed.
(14)Close the Verification Pass/Fail screen. A message is displayed with "System
Verification the Tabular Test Results were saved in the file" and displays the file name.
Click OK.
(15)Exit the Verification screen.
8. Attenuation Measurement
a. Performance Check
(1) Set up the Network Analyzer using the technique in (a) through (h) below.
(a) There should be one trace (S-Parameter) left on the screen: S11, S12, S21 or
S22. Select Trace/Channel, Traces and New Trace.
(b) Check all boxes under S-Parameters except for the one already on the screen.
Click apply and OK.
(c) Highlight the S11 trace. Set up traces as follows:
1 Response, Format, and SWR.
2 Response, Avg, Average, set to 10 and check Average on and OK. (This
should set all channels to this setting.)
3 Response, scale and Autoscale.
(d) Highlight the trace that says S12. Set up Channel as follows:
1 Response Format Log Mag.
2 Response, Avg, Average, set to 10 and check Average on and OK.
3 Response, scale and Autoscale.
(e) Highlight the S22 trace and set it up as in (c) above.
(f) Highlight the S21 trace and set it up as in (d) above.
(g) Select Response, Cal, Manage Calsets. There are two Calset options:
Ch1_CalReg and Calset1. (There should only be two if all others were deleted in paragraph
7 b (1) above.) Select Calset1. If there was a failure there might be more than one Calsets
select the last one that should be the one that passed.
(h) Click Apply Cal. The "Select Cal Set-Choose Stimulus Settings" screen is
displayed. Check the bottom box: "Change the active channels Stimulus settings to match
those of the selected Cal Set." Click OK and close.
