CALIBRATION PROCESS
6. Preliminary Instructions
a. The instructions outlined in paragraphs 6 and 7 are preparatory to the calibration
process. Personnel should become familiar with the entire bulletin before beginning the
calibration.
b. Items of equipment used in this procedure are referenced within the text by common
c. Unless otherwise specified, verify the result of each test and, whenever the test
requirement is not met, take corrective action before continuing with the calibration.
d. Adjustments for the TI are included in Agilent TME software available only at
Secondary Reference Calibration Standards Set, NSN 4931-00-621-7878. Additional
maintenance information is contained in the manufacturer's manual and TM 11-6625-950-
23&P for this TI.
e. Unless otherwise specified, all controls and control settings refer to the TI.

REDUCE
OUTPUT(s) to minimum after each step within the
performance check where applicable.
a. Remove TI protective cover only as necessary to make adjustments.
CAUTION
Before connecting TI to power source, set TI to the power
source line voltage as shown on rear of TI.
b. Connect TI to autotransformer.
c. Connect autotransformer to 115 V ac power source and adjust autotransformer for a
120 V output.
d. Press LINE switch to OPERATE and allow at least 1 hour for TI to warm-up and
stabilize.
e. Connect time/frequency workstation 10 MHz output to measuring receiver EXT REF
IN.
f. Set measuring receiver for an external reference and mode to measuring receiver
g. Connect TI 10 MHz OUT to measuring receiver RF INPUT.
h. Verify that the measuring receiver indication drift is 15 Hz per day.
i. Vary autotransformer from 108 to 132 V. Measuring receiver indication will not vary
more than 1 Hz.

Disconnect equipment setup.
