WARNING
HIGH VOLTAGE is used or exposed during the performance of
this calibration.
DEATH ON CONTACT may result if
personnel fail to observe safety precautions.
REDUCE
OUTPUT(S) TO MINIMUM after each step within the
performance check where applicable.
a. Remove protective cover from TI only when necessary to make adjustments. Replace
cover after completing the adjustments.
b. Adjust TI mechanical zero adjustment for 0 indication on KILOVOLTS meter.
c. Connect TI to 0-10-KV OUTPUT jack on dc power supply.
d. Adjust dc power supply for a 10,000 V output and allow 30 minutes for TI to stabilize.
18. Meter Accuracy
a. Performance Check
(1) Adjust dc power supply for an indication of 8 on TI KILOVOLTS meter. If dc
power supply does not indicate between 7700 and 8300 V, perform b below.
(2) Reduce dc power supply output to minimum.
b. Adjustments
(1) Adjust dc power supply for a 10,000 V output.
(2) Adjust R4 (fig. 6) for TI indication of 10 (R).
