NOTE
After a minute of no activity on TI, display goes to sleep. Press
any button to review display.
d. On TI MAIN MENU select the following:
(1) <SETUP> (using S3 ►▲▼◄).
(2) Press S3.
(3) <SYSTEM INFO> (using S3 ►▲▼◄).
(4) Press S3.
e. Verify TI is using the latest <SOFTWARE> version in TB 43-180.
f. Remove power from TI.
g. Remove the TI antenna (A5) by removing the six (6) Phillips head screws on the top
of the antenna. Disconnect the shorter difference port coax cable W3 from connector
labeled "Δ" (A5J1), and the longer sum port coax cable W4 from connector labeled "Σ"
(A5J2).
NOTE
h. Remove the four (4) flat head screws securing the lower housing to the upper
housing of the TI.
i. Carefully separate the instrument by lifting the lower housing straight up 1 to
2 inches. The wiring harness located at P620 may be disconnected to provide easier access
to connections in j below. Connector at P620 may remain unplugged throughout the entire
procedure.
CAUTION
Use care to avoid damaging the components on the back of the
display PCB and capacitors located on front edge of upper
housing.
j. Move jumper from P600 to P630 CPLD (fig. 2) (squeeze jumper at the top
to release).
k. Connect one end of USB cable to the TI's internal USB Mini-A J602 connection
(fig. 1). Connect the other end of the cable to instrument controller USB connector.
Re-connect AC/DC adapter to J106 and apply 115 V ac power.

m. Press S1 to enter "TS4530A Configuration" menu on TI display and launch the

CONTROL tab, click RESCAN PORTS.
