7. Equipment Setup

WARNING

HIGH VOLTAGE is used or exposed during the performance of

DEATH ON CONTACT may result if

personnel fail to observe safety precautions.

REDUCE

OUTPUT(S) to minimum after each step within the

performance check where applicable.

(1) If applicable, slide TI power switch to ON and ensure DATA HOLD button is OFF.

(2) Zero TI range/function as necessary.

8. Ac Current

a. Performance Check

(1) Connect calibrator to current coil.

(2) Set TI function switch to A ac.

(3) Position TI clamp so it is centered on current coil.

(4) Set TI and calibrator to settings listed in table 3 through table 8 for appropriate

TI model. TI will indicate within limits specified.

b. Adjustments. Refer to TI manufacturer's manual for corrective action.

9. Ac Voltage

a. Performance Check

(1) Set TI function switch to V ac.

(2) Set TI and calibrator to settings listed in table 9 through table 13 for

appropriate TI model. TI will indicate within limits specified.

b. Adjustments. Refer to TI manufacturer's manual for corrective action.

10. Dc Voltage

a. Performance Check

(1) Set TI function switch to V dc.

(2) Set TI and calibrator to settings listed in table 14 through table 18 for

appropriate TI model. TI will indicate within limits specified.

b. Adjustments. Refer to TI manufacturer's manual for corrective action.
