8. Transmitter Test (TI Receiving)
a. Performance Check
(1) Configure multimeter for DC Volts measurement and set DC power supply
(2) Turn on TI.
NOTE
TI will automatically turn off after 120 seconds. Press and hold
button to keep TI on.
(3) Set signal generator for an output frequency of 30 MHz @ 0 dBm.
(4) Slowly increase RF power amplifier for an RF power meter indication of 100 mW.
(5) TI frequency indication must be within limits specified in first row of table 4.
(6) Reduce RF amplifier output control to minimum and set signal generator output
to off.
(7) Repeat technique of (3) through (6) above for remaining signal generator output
frequencies and levels listed in table 4. TI frequency indications must be within limits

CAUTION
Due to the possibility of RF power amplifier spikes which may
cause equipment damage, reduce signal generator and RF
amplifier outputs to minimum when signal generator output
frequency is changed in the steps below.
(9) Set signal generator for an output frequency of 30 MHz @ 0 dBm.
(10) Slowly increase RF power amplifier for an RF power meter indication of 1 W. TI
FWD power indication must be within limits specified in first row of table 5.
