7. Equipment Setup
WARNING
HIGH VOLTAGE is used or exposed during the performance of
this calibration.
DEATH ON CONTACT may result if
personnel fail to observe safety precautions. REDUCE
OUTPUT(S) to minimum after each step within the
performance check where applicable.
a. Connect TI to a 115 V ac power source.
b. Position TI controls as listed in (1) through (9) below:
(1) TRIGGER INT/EXT switch (rear panel) to INT.
OFFSET control to CAL.
(2)
AMPLITUDE switch to .01 and AMPLITUDE VERNIER control fully ccw.
(3)
SYM control to CAL.
(4)
TRIGGER PHASE control to FREE RUN.
(5)
All MODULATION pushbuttons released to out.
(6)
MODULATION RANGE Hz switch 0.
(7)
MODULATION SYM control to CAL.
(8)
LINE OFF/ON pushbutton pressed to ON and allow 1 hour for warm-up.

8. Frequency Accuracy
a. Performance Check

(1) Connect TI SYNC to frequency counter CHANNEL A input using 50
eedthrough termination.
(2) Position TI controls as listed in (a) through (d) below:
FUNCTION sine wave pushbutton pressed.
(a)
RANGE Hz .1 pushbutton pressed.
(b)
FREQUENCY dial to 1.
(c)
AMPLITUDE switch to 1 and AMPLITUDE VERNIER control fully cw.
(d)
(3) If frequency counter does not indicate between 6060 ms and 28571 ms, perform
8 b below.
(4) Repeat technique of (2) and (3) above using settings and indications listed in
