Do not perform power supply check if all other
parameters are within tolerance.
e. Unless otherwise specified, all controls and control settings refer to the TI.
WARNING
HIGH VOLTAGE is used or exposed during the performance of
this calibration.
DEATH ON CONTACT may result if
personnel fail to observe safety precautions.
REDUCE
OUTPUT(S)  to  minimum  after  each  step  within  the
performance check where applicable.
7. Equipment Setup
a. If necessary, connect SENSE terminals to OUTPUT terminals, using shorting links
supplied with TI.
b. Connect TI to autotransformer and leave connected throughout entire calibration.
c. Connect autotransformer to 115 V ac source and adjust for 115 V output.
d. Position controls as listed in (1) through (7) below:
(1) METER READING VOLTAGE pushbutton pressed.
(2) MODE VOLTS AND 10-100 pushbutton pressed.
(3) VOLTAGE TRIP 1000 pushbutton pressed.
(4) VERNIER control to HI.
(5) CROWBAR OFF pushbutton pressed.
(6) CURRENT LIMIT control to HI.
(7) POWER PUSH ON OFF and STDBY/RESET pushbutton pressed.
e. Set decade dials to indicate 90.00000 and allow at least 4 hours for warm-up.
f. Press MODE 1-10 pushbutton and set decade dials to indicate 1.000000.
8. Regulation
a. Performance Check
(1) Connect TI OUTPUT terminals to multimeter.
(2) Press POWER OPR pushbutton and record multimeter reading.
(3) Adjust autotransformer for a 105 V output and wait 1 minute.
(4) Multimeter will indicate within 20 V of value recorded in (2) above.
(5) Adjust autotransformer for a 125 V output and wait 1 minute.
(6) Multimeter will indicate within 20 V of value recorded in (2) above.
(7) Adjust autotransformer for a 115 V output.
