9. Range Zero
a. Performance Check
(1) Connect multimeter to OUTPUT terminals.
(2) Position controls as listed in (a) through (c) below:
(a) METER READING VOLTAGE pushbutton pressed.
(b) MODE VOLTS and 1-10 pushbuttons pressed.
(c) Decade dials to indicate 0.000000.
(3) Press POWER OPR pushbutton. If multimeter does not indicate 0 30 V,
perform b (1) below.
(4) Press MODE 10-100 pushbutton. If multimeter does not indicate 0 300 V
perform b (2) below.
(5) Press MODE 100-1000 pushbutton. If multimeter does not indicate 0 3 mV,
perform b (3) below.
(6) Press POWER STDBY/RESET pushbutton.
b. Adjustments
(1) Adjust A4A1R19 10 V ZERO ADJ (fig. 2) for a multimeter indication of 0 (R).
(2) Adjust A4A1R21 100 V ZERO ADJ (fig. 2) for a multimeter indication of 0 (R).
(3) Adjust A4AlR20 1000 V ZERO ADJ (fig. 2) for a multimeter indication of 0 (R).
10. Output Voltage and Linearity
a. Performance Check
(1) Connect TI OUTPUT terminals to multimeter.
(2) Position controls as listed in (a) through (c) below:
(a) MODE VOLTS and 1-10 pushbuttons pressed.
(b) Decade dials to indicate 10.000000.
(c) POWER OPR pushbutton pressed.
(3) If multimeter does not indicate between 9.998800 and 10.001200, perform b (1)
through (8) below.
(4) Press POWER STDBY/RESET pushbutton.
(5) Set TI decade dials to settings listed in table 3. If TI does not indicate within
limits specified, perform b (1) through (7) and (10) through (29) below.
