Figure 4. Adjustment location type DC504.
26. Frequency and Sensitivity
a. Performance Check
(1) Connect function/arbitrary generator OUTPUT to TI INPUT, using cable and
termination.
NOTE
Set DELAY TIME FUNCTION switch to 1 Hz (kHz) and
change as needed for rest of frequency checks.
(2) Adjust function/arbitrary generator frequency to 10 Hz and amplitude to
minimum.
(3) Slowly increase function/arbitrary generator's amplitude until TI displays a
stable count. Function/arbitrary generator will indicate 20 mV rms or less.
(4) Repeat technique of (2) and (3) above at 1 kHz, 100 kHz, 1 MHz, and 5 MHz.
Function/arbitrary generator will indicate 20 mV rms or less for each frequency.
(5) Disconnect function/arbitrary generator from TI and connect signal generator
RF OUTPUT to TI INPUT, using adapter, cable, and termination.
(6) Adjust the signal generator to 10 MHz with minimum amplitude.
(7) Slowly increase the signal generator's amplitude until TI displays a stable
count. The signal generator will indicate 20 mV rms or less.
(8) Repeat technique of (6) and (7) above at 25 MHz, and 50 MHz. Signal generator
will indicate 35 mV rms or less.
