7. Equipment Setup
WARNING
HIGH VOLTAGE is used or exposed during the performance of
this calibration.
DEATH ON CONTACT may result if
personnel fail to observe safety precautions.
REDUCE
OUTPUT(S)  to  minimum  after  each  step  within  the
performance check where applicable.
NOTE
For TI's with serial numbers above 20,000, set LO-M-HI
switch to M and RANGES switch to 115 V. Remove protective
covers only as required to make adjustments.
a. Connect TI to a 115 V ac source.
b. Position controls as listed in (1) through (22) below:
(1) CH 1 and CH 2 VOLTS/DIV switches to 20 mV.
(2) VOLTS/DIV VARIABLE controls to CAL.
(3) Vertical POSITION controls to midrange.
(4) CH 1 and CH 2 AC-GND-DC switches to DC.
(5) MODE switches to CH 1.
(6) TRIGGER switch to NORM.
(7) INVERT switch pushed in.
(8) LEVEL controls to 0.
(9) SLOPE switches to + (positive) and COUPLING switches to AC.
(10) SOURCE switches to INT.
(11) DELAY-TIME MULTIPLIER dial fully ccw.
(12) A AND B TIME/DIV AND DELAY TIME switches to .2 ms.
(13) INTENSITY control fully ccw.
(14) A TIME/DIV VARIABLE control to CAL.
(15) A SWEEP MODE switch to AUTO TRIG.
(16) HORIZ DISPLAY switch to A.
(17) MAG switch to OFF.
(18) A SWEEP LENGTH control to FULL.
(19) B SWEEP MODE switch to TRIGGERABLE AFTER DELAY TIME.
(20) Horizontal POSITION control to midrange.
(21) B TIME/DIV VARIABLE control (located on side panel) to CAL.
(22) CALIBRATOR switch (located on side panel) to .1 V.
