12. Gain and Magnifier Register
a. Performance Check
(1) Position controls as listed in (a) through (c) below:
(a) A AND B TIME/DIV AND DELAY TIME switches to 1 ms.
(b) HORIZ DISPLAY switch to A.
(c) DELAY-TIME MULTIPLIER dial fully ccw.
(2) Adjust horizontal POSITION control to align second marker on second vertical
graticule line. Rotate oscilloscope calibrator knob located below EDIT FIELD pushbutton
for 1 marker per division on TI. If oscilloscope calibrator Err display readout is not within
2%, perform b (1) and (2) below.
(3) Set oscilloscope calibrator for a CHAN 1, MARKER output of .1 ms and set TI
MAG switch to X10.
(4) Repeat technique of (2) above. If TI oscilloscope calibrator Err display readout
is not within 3%, perform b (3) and (4) below.
(5) Set MAG switch to OFF.
